BUJ Regional Meeting 2024

The BUJ regional meeting, which took place on 24 October at Urban Colab in Munich, focused on a lively exchange about legal tech and its outstanding value for corporate lawyers. Participants were excited by the innovative approaches and ideas discussed in this exciting field!

Highlights and Activities

• Enriching Perspectives of Participants: Participants brought a wealth of experience, of exciting legal tech pilots to everyday use. They shared valuable insights into the current challenges and requirements for innovative legal tech solutions. Particularly impressive was the contribution of Dr Christoph Schmitz (Deutsche Bahn AG), who reported on the internal processes required for the successful introduction of a new Legal Tech tool in a DAX company.
• Interactive Dialogues: In lively discussions, participants explored the current state of companies in the field of legal tech and together highlighted the challenges and potential of this fascinating area.
• Start-Up Fishbowl: The founders Anna Spitznagel of trail and Immo Ait Stapelfeld of 913.ai presented their innovative solutions to the audience and answered questions of the participants.

• There is a significant need among the participating corporate lawyers, especially for process automation, legal LLMs and application areas such as contract management, corporate housekeeping and commercial topics. These topics are often not yet covered by tools in everyday practice.
