On April 25 and 26, the second Munich Hacking Legal hackathon will take place, co-organized by the Legal Tech Colab together with START Munich and the Liquid Legal Institute. Following last year's successful launch, we are once again bringing together students and professionals from law, technology, and related fields. Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants will tackle real-world challenges to develop practical solutions and initial prototypes at the intersection of law and technology.

From April 28 to 30, 2026, legalXchange will take place at the BMW Welt in Munich - a curated conference focused on the future of law in the digital age. Representatives from companies, law firms, the judiciary, public administration, academia, and technology will come together to discuss current developments and strategic questions. As one of the five founding members, we will be on site with the Legal Tech Colab and look forward to engaging in dialogue with startups, decision-makers, and other stakeholders of the legal market.

Join us in October 2026 for the Legal Tech Colab Annual Event, where we will once again bring together voices from across law, technology, and innovation. The evening will feature high-level guests, thought-provoking and sometimes controversial perspectives, as well as practical impulses and opportunities to network with like-minded people within the Legal Tech community. On October 22, 2025, we came together for our LTC annual event to celebrate three years of Legal Tech Colab. Together with representatives from law firms, legal departments, academia, and the judiciary, as well as members from our startups, we reflected on what we have achieved – and discussed the legal market of 2030: Who will shape it, who will benefit, and who will be left behind?

In April 2025, the first Munich Hacking Legal was held at the Technical University of Munich, convening 75 talents for an intensive 24-hour hackathon. Organized by START Munich in collaboration with the Liquid Legal Institute e.V. and the Legal Tech Colab, participants addressed real-world challenges from BMW Group, Legora, and ELTEMATE at the intersection of law and technology.

On April 7, 2025, the event “AI in the Legal Department: Opportunities and Challenges” brought together experts and practitioners to explore the practical implementation of AI solutions. Experts from YPOG, trail, and UnternehmerTUM shared insights into AI regulation, governance, and AI-supported management of large data volumes. The evening concluded with pitches from our LTC startups.
