Three years of Legal Tech Colab: Looking back on our 2025 annual event

On October 22, 2025, we came together for our LTC annual event to celebrate three years of Legal Tech Colab. Together with representatives from law firms, legal departments, academia, and the judiciary, as well as members from our startups, we reflected on what we have achieved – and discussed the legal market of 2030: Who will shape it, who will benefit, and who will be left behind?

On October 22, 2025, during the LTC Annual Event, we celebrated not only our third anniversary but, above all, what defines us as an initiative: learning, debating, and connecting – together with our continuously growing community from the legal tech and legal sectors.

More than 100 guests from law firms, legal departments, startups, academia, and the judiciary came together to look ahead into the future. At the heart of the event was the following guiding question:

Legal Market 2030: Who Shapes It? Who Benefits? Who Gets Left Behind?

Opening remarks and Insights for the Legal Market

The evening began with opening remarks by Georg Eisenreich (Bavarian State Minister of Justice), who emphasized the importance of innovation, cooperation, and digital transformation for Bavaria as a legal hub.

This was followed by an inspiring keynote from Achim Tschauder on „Legal Market 2030 – How Law Firms and Legal Departments Should Prepare Strategically.
His talk sparked numerous discussions that continued well beyond the official program.

Dialogue of Perspectives: Panel Insights

A highlight of the evening was the closing panel discussion, moderated by Moritz Krüsselmann, Operational Director of LTC. During the panel, various experts shared their perspectives:

Together, they discussed opportunities, risks, and responsibilities in a rapidly evolving legal market, as well as the role that both technology and legal professionals will play in shaping its future.

Innovation in Action: The Startup Pitches

In addition to the keynotes and our panel, numerous startups from the Legal Tech Colab also had the opportunity to showcase their practical solutions. Participating were:

  • Legalian (Maximilian Reinhard): Anti-money laundering checks for notaries, law firms, and tax advisors
  • TEACK GmbH (Dr. Ruben Tessmann): AI-powered solutions for internal investigations and criminal case files
  • Suitcase GmbH (Tim Kniepkamp): Platform for alternative dispute resolution

A Special Thanks to Our Partners

A heartfelt thank you goes to all speakers, panelists, startups, and guests who made this evening truly special.

We also extend our gratitude to our partners who continuously support our work: Bavarian State Ministry of Justice, TUM Venture Labs, UnternehmerTUM & Verlag C.H.Beck.

Without your support, the development of the Legal Tech Colab over the past three years would not have been possible.

Looking Ahead

Three years full of ideas, visions, and drive – and this is just the beginning

Backed by our community, we will continue to reshape the legal landscape, champion bold innovations, and connect practice, research, and technology.
