After the Hype: AI Use Cases for Corporate & Beyond
On October 22, 2025, the Legal Tech Colab, together with Legora as sponsor, brought lawyers, founders, and legal tech enthusiasts together for an evening focused on Legal AI in real practice. Practitioners from leading law firms and consulting teams shared how they use AI in due diligence, contract review, and matter structuring, followed by short pitches from LTC startups and networking over food and drinks.
Looking back on an evening full of practical insights, real workflows and surprising enthusiasm.
Artificial intelligence is no longer an abstract concept in the legal world. While many discussions still revolve around visions, risks, and theoretical potential, the Legal Tech Colab (LTC), together with Legora as sponsor, recently brought people onto the stage who understand AI not as a promise of the future, but as an everyday working tool.
At our most recent event, lawyers, founders, and legal tech enthusiasts came together to openly show how modern AI tools are used in corporate transactions and beyond – not in demo environments, but in real client matters.
An evening that puts practice before product
Instead of founders demonstrating features, this time practitioners from international law firms and consulting houses took center stage. They showed how AI solves concrete problems in their workflows and how much you gain when technology starts exactly where legal work is especially intensive.
The evening kicked off with Jeremias Bura (Latham & Watkins LLP / founder of Lextract), who illustrated how complex information flows can be automated – from commercial register data to extracted information from handwritten land register excerpts.
Next, Christof Alexander Schneider (Partner at ARQIS) showed how he uses Legora’s Tabular Review feature to rediscover and compare clauses across different years. This insight was complemented by Martina Farkas, who demonstrated how targeted prompting can clearly separate even tricky contract components such as change-of-control and assignment clauses.
To close, Martin Seitz (Associate at Grant Thornton) took the audience into the world of large-scale matters: How do you turn several hundred pages of files into clear timelines, traceable sequences of events, and precise summaries? His use of the Silvernova tools impressively showed how much efficiency AI can create where structuring work would otherwise consume entire days.

What our startups are building
The evening ended with short pitches from startup members who are pushing Legal AI beyond corporate practice:
- Maximilian Reinhard – Legalian: AML compliance specifically for law firms & tax advisory
- John Tertan – Narrative HQ: AI-supported time tracking and pricing
- Julius Hirschberger – Claid Legal: An AI associate with a focus on insolvency proceedings
Three examples of how diverse the application areas of Legal AI can be!

Wrapping up the evening
As always, the evening didn’t end with the last presentation. Over drinks, finger food, cinnamon rolls, and many lively conversations, new connections, ideas, and collaborations emerged.

A particularly warm thank-you goes to the Legora team who made this evening possible: Nathalia Schomerus, Jan Niklas Hasenpusch, Vadym Kuzmenko, Jonathan Melke, as well as everyone else who joined us.
