MyGovernment 2025: Stage open for innovation in the public sector

MyGovernment 2025 brought together government, politics, science, and startups in Berlin. Seven finalists presented innovative GovTech and LegalTech solutions – including our members Lexaru and KWINTELY.

On July 9, 2025, the 10th edition of myGovernment took place at the Hertie School in Berlin – an event that has established itself over the years as a platform for exchange on innovation, digitalization, and efficiency in the public sector. Organized by the Institute for the Public Sector (funded by KPMG) in cooperation with the Centre for Digital Governance at the Hertie School and the Legal Tech Colab, the event offers startups the opportunity to present their solutions directly to decision-makers from government, politics, academia, and investors.

As a supporter of myGovernment 2025, we are especially pleased that two of our members – Lexaru and KWINTELY – took the opportunity to present their ideas and provide exciting impulses for a future-ready public administration.

  • Lexaru – automates large parts of the review of administrative decisions in immigration law, particularly with regard to missing documents and formal requirements.
  • KWINTELY Intelligence GmbH – enhances and automates the search for relevant IP data – an important basis for decision-making in numerous funding applications.

Diversity of solutions for the administration of tomorrow

The seven finalists demonstrated the broad innovative strength of the GovTech and LegalTech ecosystem:

  • comuneo – enables digital and simple municipal participation
  • Procure Ai – automates procurement processes in public purchasing
  • HzE-Portal – brings together youth welfare organizations and youth welfare offices on one platform
  • LeistungsLotse GmbH & For.ml – support citizens in applying for social benefits
  • myGovSpace | GovSpace GmbH – provides a secure, digital learning platform for public administration
  • Lexaru – automates large parts of the review of administrative decisions in immigration law, particularly with regard to missing documents and formal requirements
  • KWINTELY Intelligence GmbH – improves and automates the search for relevant IP data – an important basis for decision-making in numerous funding applications

Keynotes, Challenges & Exchange

In addition to the startup pitches, two keynotes provided valuable food for thought: Thomas Heilmann (Member of the Bundestag) shared his perspective on the challenges of digitalizing public administration, and Annika Busse (Deputy CIO of Hamburg) offered fascinating insights into the practice of a digitally transforming administration.

Concrete challenges were also presented: Beate Albert from Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH introduced problem areas for which startups can specifically develop solutions.

As part of the program, Moritz Krüsselmann (Operational Director LTC) and Alexander Laprell (Managing Director LTC) also presented the offerings of the Legal Tech Colab for startups in the GovTech and LegalTech sectors – a valuable opportunity to highlight our shared goal: to support innovation in the Legal Tech sector.

We also thank all partners, supporters, and the dedicated startups who, with their ideas and solutions, have shown that GovTech and LegalTech are key building blocks for a modern public administration.
